Perth Mint Advertising Board and Advertising “Notes”

At the meeting of the NSSA meeting held on 21 January 2016 a member displayed a 1994 Perth Mint Display Board with full size uniface facsimiles of the mint’s entire bullion range, originally part of an advertising board with a facsimile nugget and a brochure holder.

The gold coin facsimiles were gold plated copper, 1 kilo, 10, 2, and 1 ounce, ½, ¼, 1/10 1/20 oz. The coins featured a red kangaroos or whiptail wallabies.

The silver coin facsimiles were silver plated aluminium, 1 kilo, 10, 2 and 1 ounce. The coins featured the same kookaburras.

The platinum coin facsimiles were silver plated copper, 1 kilo, 10, 2, 1, ½, ¼, 1/10 and 1/20 ounce. They depicted two koala designs.

The member also handed out to those present 3 variations each of advertising “notes” given out by Adelaide Exchange Jewellers and I. S. Wright in Adelaide 10-20 years ago.
